My Square Is Gone

Hey guys, I got some bad news and some good news. The bad news is I traded my 81 C20 off to a fellow squarebody fan. I traded it for this 1989 Chevrolet K2500. Its in good shape, bout the same as my square was and I know where there are alot of parts for this one. I have pics from the trade, just don't have time to load them, so here is the pic of my new truck. I miss my square, but the offer was too good to pass up.

The good news is, I can still hang around on here.

Thanks
Benjamin.

Re: My Square Is Gone

I've been looking to get rid of mine too. It's becoming expensive, I keep wanting to do things like fix rust and lift kits and tires.

Looks like a good truck. Whats the powertrain in it?

Re: My Square Is Gone

Thanks for the complements guys. It really helps to ease the pain of Orange Crush being gone. But, I do know that I will get another one down the road.

As far as the powertrain goes, it has a 350 in it and the transmission is either a 700R4 or a 4L60. I haven't looked on the SPID yet.

Here's a picture of my new one that I took today. I still don't know what to call it yet.

Re: My Square Is Gone

Whoever styled this series of trucks did a very good job. The same cannot be said of the current offerings from gm.

Looks like a light duty K2500 with it being 6-lug so you could have the overdrive trans. HD 2500's would for sure have a T-400 still in 89.

Nice looking truck. I had a 90 Z71 with the SS appearance package. Looked like a 4x4 454SS. Got lots of strange looks from the 454SS owners.
