lowering a 4X4 Blazer

question from a semi-newb...I did a search and cannot find any information on this subject. Has anyone tried to lower a 4x4 blazer? I have a '73 blazer that I am looking to lower just 2-3 inches from stock ride height Any additional information would be awesome. Thanks in advance and thanks for all the advice from other posts!

There's not much room between the front axle and the motor. I dont think you can get a few inches out of there. I have never seen it done.

If you want to lower it, you'll need to convert the front end to a independent front suspension to keep it a 4x4
