Pics of fiberglass half door project
I have a set of hollow fiberglass doors for a C-10 that I am installing on my '72 Blazer 4x4. I wanted to make half-doors similar to what you see on Scouts and $roncos. I did a lot of research and found a two part polyurethane expanding foam that is hard enough to take any abuse.
I left the top strip attached for structural support as I added the pour foam. Man that foam and fiberglass resin is smelly stuff. I am installing the factory hinges and door latch hardware so I can open the doors if I want to. I will most likely paint them satin black after glassing in the top areas. I'll post more pics as I go on. The green C-10 is Mommas. It was her 20th anniversay present that she asked for. Thanks...Rick Last edited by Rick212; 06-26-2010 at 08:54 PM. Reason: more info |

Re: Pics of fiberglass half door project
I'm gonna bolt one on this afternoon for a mock-up. I want to see if I need to cut the bottom area shorter or leave them the way they are.
