Throttle linkage
Im getting ready to set up my throttle linkage and i need to know what I need to get. What I currently have is like two rods coming out of my firewall then the bracket at the end that went to the carb on the 292. There is now a 350 and Im using a quad what do I need. Thanks Brian Wolf

The V8 just has 1 rod from the arm on the firewall, to the carb. if you cant find the stock pc, you can build the rod pretty cheap using allthread rod, & rod ends. Then slip a pc of tubing over the threaded rod for a "clean look". Summit racing has the rod ends, just look in chassis parts under summit brand. crazyL

I had to bend a rod for mine when I got it too, but I am changing over to a 71-72 pedal assembly, to get the cable. The rods tend to bind if you use the truck off road, or get much engine lift under acceleration. The cable system eliminates all that. Just something for future upgrade. Oh, the rod I got was from Chevrolet, they still have them. Kind of a universal fit... hence the bending part.

This was in a previous post. You can get the linkage from www.longacreracing.com. It's part number 3270 and it's $29.95. It says it's for Holley but it worked just fine on my Edelbrock carb.

You can also buy the rod ends at a hardware or auto parts store.
