Wheel hop w/rear air ride strong arm kit... help

How can I get rid of the wheel hop? I just took it around the block for the first time since I installed the new detroit locker and now Im getting wheel hop. Im using the shocks that came with the kit. Would a shock upgrade fix this?

Please define "rear air ride strong arm kit". Do you mean Ride Tech's "Air Bar" kit or what? If so my guess is your shocks may be to soft. I haven't had any issues with that set up on mine, but then again I haven't hammered on it from a dead stop. From a rolling start mine will break loose and spin but no wheel hop.

I'd head over to the ride tech forum and ask them for suggestions ...

Sorry bro, I didn't realize you were running their Trailing Arm system? How did the install go for you? You can post on their forum, or give them a call, but I'll but its shock related.

Just curious,... did it wheel hop any before?
Was it bagged before?
Do you think the locker has anything to do with it?

No worries. The install was a breeze. The hardest part was removing all the rivets but even that with the right tools is pretty easy. Im guessing its shock related as well? I know you have one of their kits on your truck just not sure which one. Which shocks are you using?

Or maybe bag pressure has something to do with it?

lolife: It only started to hop after I installed the locker. Before the locker only one wheel was spinning and no hop

What air pressure are you running for the rears?

55 psi. Is the stock pinion angle supposed to be ok with this kit?

I may have missed this but when does it hop? When you hammer it, when you go around a corner or when?

Sounds like the pinion angle does need to be adjusted for better results.
