Bags Ride quality?

Whats is the ride quality like handling, softer better with Airbags then tradisional Leaf Springs and Coil springs?

i bought a 85 C30 3+3 that i have some plans for. im thinking of air bag suspension i would like to keep the ride height it has stock maby a little lower
but not anything with c notch the frame or something like that

i want it to be a smooth cruiser aka cowboy cadilac

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: Bags Ride quality?

Although it may not relate directly to a full size truck, but I have a setup similar to what you speak of. I have Air Ride Tech's (RideTec) Airbar set up in the rear and Coolride setup up front on my 2000 S-10. Of course I had to remove my leaf springs and swar bar out back, but I did not C-notch the frame. the air bags out back are the sleeve style.

The ride quality is awesome! That truck rides so much smoother than it did from factory, depending on how much air I have in the bags...

Don't know if that helps, but that's my 2 cents.

My thoughts exactly. Mine is an 83 2wd and my frame is step notched but no matter what ride height I am at it rides so much smoother than stock leafs.

Quick story, I live in N.C. and went up to the mountains a couple weeks ago for a car show and came down the mountain back home at 75mph in a 55 in the big curves and the truck never "body rolled" in the curves and handled great and had a few weird looks from people that see the farm truck flying by them in the curves.
