I finally found a truck!!
I finally found a project truck that I liked. A '79 GMC SWB 1/2 ton 2wd. Purchased it from a guy for $300, the body is pretty rotted but the frame suspension and drivetrain are all there. I gotta wait 'til the weekend to get it trailored home so no pics 'til then. I'm glad to be able to finally post here since I've been lurking for month's,

Re: I finally found a truck!!
Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the party! That '79 swb will be a great truck. I've always liked the look of the double headlight 80's models, but over the past few months I've really started to like the look of the '78 my friend has. I've been on the look out for one. Glad you finally got a truck. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Re: I finally found a truck!!
the first truck i ever started in on was a 1976 C10 that had been a farm truck and was terribly rusted. As long as you feel like doing the work its a start. My son and i had ours almost running when we scrapped the truck due to his actions,
Post some pics and the plans when you get it home
