Gassers ??????
Anyone ever build one of these trucks as a GASSER?
Just wondering, I thought that might be cool. Anyone got pics? Last edited by Ratrod60apache; 07-01-2010 at 03:14 PM. |

Re: Gassers ??????
That's where I was heading with mine. Get the nose up a few more inches, add white fenderwell headers, a BDS (Hilborn style) scoop on either a tunnel ram or blower sticking through the hood, pie crust slicks and Firestones up front. Forced retirement killed all that when the hobby budget plummeted to nothing!

Re: Gassers ??????
yea, my immediate goal is to get my 64 back on the road, but long term is to do a nosebleed for sure - Thinking of doing from with fabtech a-arms like dino did on his lifted rig instead of straight axle though!

Re: Gassers ??????
The thought has crossed my mind aswell. I have a 61 Apache and am thinking of putting a newer crossmember in the front, or I have a friend with a 60s ford truck frame with the straight axel front end and for 9inch rear. Dont know how much trouble it would be to do either one. What would you do if it was yours?

Re: Gassers ??????
Good idea Dan. I know there was one on here that was "gasser inspired"...very cool truck but it was low, not high. Here's a pic of a 55-56 gasser... It would be cool to see 60-66...
