wheel sizes
Found a real nice set of aftermarket aluminum keystones today. All was good, 16 x 7, 6 on 5.5. Then i measured the center hole and it was quite a bit too small. The new 6 on 5.5 GM wheels aparently won't fit on the older trucks. Has anyone else ran into this?

Re: wheel sizes
Are you sure they are new?
Keystone wheel (same owners as Appliance Wheel) went out of business years ago. Pics? |

Re: wheel sizes
The guy that had them worked for keystone (he says) and got laid off. He says they were making OEM wheels for GM and says that's what these were. They were brand new and in no name boxes. Nice looking wheels, wish they would have fit.

Re: wheel sizes
the wheels with a picture are on craigs list. Here is the link:
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/pts/1843020028.html let me know what you think. I am understanding from the input that prior to 1988 they all had a 4" center hole and it got smaller after that. Yes? No? let me know. |

Re: wheel sizes
Nice looking rims - too bad about the center bore.
The offset is different as well. Greg.
