front spring height

i am trying to determine what size front springs i have for my truck. i broke the factory one on sunday and now i am going to order a set of ORD rear shackle flip kit for the truck, problem is i am not sure what size lift spring i have, does someone around have a set of factory springs they could measure for me and give me the dimension for? specifically, if you put the spring upside down on a bench, i need the measurement from the surface of the bench to the peak of the leaf. thanks ahead of time for any help guys. by the way i am a new member, i have a 78 swb 4x4.

Kevin

Re: front spring height

what kind of truck is it?? 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton??? The front springs are pretty much the same, 1 tons might have an extra leave, but are all interchangeable. The rear springs are either 52" or 56". Most 1/2 tons have 52s, and the 3/4 and 1 tons got the 56s.

What does a shackle flip have to do with breaking a front spring??

Re: front spring height

It's hard to figure out without weight on them, as some springs will settle more than others when installed.
