Electrical question
I finally rebuilt the ol' 350 (ya hoo!) and fired her up tonight. I'll post the full story and pics another time though.
The question for tonight is that the fuse for the tail lights, dash, interior light, and who knows what else, blows every time I step on the brake. Ruined my chances for a long break-in ride. Anybody have a suggestion on where to start looking for the culprit? Funny that it happened after the engine change-out, but I can't figure out the relationship. David

Just a thought, when ever something goes wrong I start with looking in the area where it was last worked on. I'm thinkin the harness that feeds the rear lights, it runs down the driverside of the firewall and down the frame rail, inspect it, possibley it got pinched or burned or whatever. It's a good place to start.

Try putting the fuse in and then use the turn signals. If it blows when you turn one of them on, then check that wire.
If it does not blow with the turn signal, then the trouble will be between the brake switch and the turn signal. |

possibly a bad break switch , shorting out

I checked the wiring in the engine compartment... no visible breaks. Tail lights and signal lights work as long as I don't step on the brakes. 4-way flashers don't work though... hmmm. thought they used to.
I'll have to check the brake switch. David
