I agree with SK, it looks just like the one from my 57 when I heaved the old 235 three on the tree. Someone will probably want it, just not me

235 or 261 chev , truck application , with out a left side veiw I can't tell if it is 60-62 or earlier, but its not from your '63 unless it is really early production and one slipedd through, '63 s had the V8 chevy pattern with the "new" 6 -230/250 and later 292, oops forgot the 194

that's what i figured. I had a 235 in my 62, and i thought that's what it looked like, but i sold the tranny with the motor, so i had nothing to compare it to I have one from the later model v-6 that i am going to use behind my small block v-8. guess the 235 bell would make a good boat anchor

Re: What does this bellhousing fit??????

It's from a 54-59 truck. 60-62 would have the fork on the right hand side for hydraulic linkage.

Re: What does this bellhousing fit??????

Well this turned into quite an interesting education for me. I normally use ebay to check prices, but your part isn't being offered just now.

I was able to find these two.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...item2303158601

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/54-55...item25587adce2

They are similar to yours, but not identical. Note the extra hole on the left front face. Also the boss on the left side has a stud in it, and I can't see if yours is tapped or not. I am thinking these two are correct for 54 and 55 1st series. That would make yours 55 2nd series to 59, which is a fairly common part. You could start it out at $50, but don't be surprised if you have to lower the price in order for it to move.
