Re: Transfer case tag how to translate
chain drive full time 4wd. Can be modified to part time two ways, best is with a shaft kit. Still chain drive. Mine has always taken me any place I wanted to go. Stock shifters suck, you get to spend alot of quality time under your truck pulling the levers back into place, I converted to twin stick. Value is in the hi-low unit part that 205 guys use for reduction boxes.
Plus is its a big cast iron case, usually internals hand grenade first. Since no one wants them you can find them cheap. Replacement parts are plentiful. You develop upper body strength putting them in and out.

Re: Transfer case tag how to translate
No problem. Am I remembering right that Harper is near Ft. Hood, sounds familiar. I was at Hood with the 1st Calv in 72-73.

Re: Transfer case tag how to translate
If it were my project, I'd take the 203 and remove the range box, then pitch the rest into the weeds. NP205s are still available and fairly common without exorbitant price or too much searching.
What transmission do you have? |
