Differente type of Beds
So im a newb when it comes to this. I am seeing the term SWB LWB tossed around here. So basically SWB= ( short wheel base ) Shortbed , LWB= ( long wheel base ) Long bed ? I have also seen the term Wide shortbed , or Wide Long bed. Did they make two type of beds ? Normal and wide ? Its a dumb question but just though id ask

There is a Fleeside which has smooth sided fenders and the Step Side which has fender on the out side the bed. There is also a Longhorn which is an extended LWB. I am not sure of the measurements but a SWB is 6' and LWB is 8'. The Longhorn is maybe a foot longer. I am not sure of the exact measurements I hope this helps. Also and from Ohio. LWB 8 ft bed (fleet or step) Longhorn 8 1/2 ft bed (fleet only) One ton stepside 9 ft bed |
