brake linkage setup
Tryin to put the pieces together and can't seem to find all the parts. Pictures are of the brake booster and pedal assy area. I've got the rod and linkage that hooks up to the booster and brake pedal assy. Need to know if there is a rubber boot or cover that goes in the firewall hole around the pedal assy rod. What does it look like, is it reproduced ? Thanks

Re: brake linkage setup
Question: Is it normal for the rod from the booster to touch the firewall when it is normally sitting there bolted to the bracket? If so, do you just push it in when you connect the rod from the brake pedal?
I ran into this problem when I was putting my brakes back together and I could not remember what the clearance looked like (hence my manual brakes...) sorry to hijack...

Re: brake linkage setup
Actually, the rod should not touch the firewall. Without the brake pedal assy and rod connecting to the brake booster, the rod is just sitting there with no pressure on it, so it hangs out of the booster a bit. I understand that there are different rods depending on the pedals and trans setup.
