ball joints

has anyone done ball joints for 60-62 and what is up with 340 dollars for ball joints. does any one know were to get them cheaper.

yet another reason people do the c-member swap ball joints for the 78 19.95 the entire c-member was 150

If you are willing to give up the T-bars, the cheap fix is the crossmember swap already mentioned. Unfortunately, there is no easy solution if you want to keep the stock suspension, which is what I want to do.

I have seen one truck where an obviously expert welder cut off the outer ends of the stock control arms and welded on the ends from a later truck. Clearly, this is not for the faint of heart, but if you can find someone with the necessary skills to do the job, I would say go for it.
