Where does this go?
I am putting my interior back together and I cannot remember where this spring goes. I think it was somewhere in the heater/AC system. 1 3/8" long body x 1/2" diameter with two 3/4" long hooks facing each other. Was painted red. It is a fairly stiff spring. Thanks.

It's starting to come into focus in my weak mind - air vent door, passenger side, but what do the ends hook to? LMC catalog is a bit vague.

Could it be from the bottom bracket with hole on the vent door to a hole on the lower outer edge of the vacuum actuator bracket?

Depending on its actual size, it could also be the spring that holds the ash tray closed.

it is for the vent for fresh air like on the lmc page. it attaches to the vent flap and a metal piece.

It looks like the spring that is on the little orange gear selector needle in the dash... But that depends on the size, just my opinion...

It was for the vent door in the kickpanel on the passenger side. Next time, I will label things when I take them out. Of course, after reassembly it seems not to function with the vacuum contols anymore - fix one thing and break another.
