Installing shocks for K20 '71 & C20 '72
I looked but I didn't see a thread.
OK the shocks are gone. I have a 3 to 4 inch llift and I'm running 255 85r 16 tires on my '71 K20. How difficult is it to install the shocks? I'm thinking of going with Rancho 5000's. Opinions? What tools do I need? What is the procedure? When I'm done with my truck, we are going to do the C20. Same procedure? Thanks in advance for any help. Sean |

Re: Installing shocks for K20 '71 & C20 '72
I have a 3/4T 44 with a 4" Rancho lift kit, 4" springs on the front, blocks in the back with 5000 rancho shocks, My honist opinion? it rides pretty stiff and i have allways wondered if i should have went with ether Tuff country or Skyjacker softride system. But i don't know if i can blame the ride on the springs, shocks or both.
EDIT: I wanted to add that this thread might get more of a responce in the 4X4 tech section, this suspension section seems to lean toward 1/2T and lowering tips rather than lift kit interest. Last edited by swamp rat; 09-06-2010 at 02:51 AM. |
