Twin stick a rockwell 221

Anyone out here have any experience in twin sticking a rockwell 221 transfer case? if so is there a twin stick it that can be used or modified to do it ? Any info would be much apreciated , thanks

I would think that if your going to spend the time and effort, you should switch to a 205. The parts are easy to find, and I think that there are kits available to twin stick them.

i'd like to know why you'd want to twin stick anything...what would you use 2-lo for?

Twin sticking allows you to control the gear ratios (hi vs low) of the front and rear differential independently of each other. Also, you could put your rear in neutral and just have your front differential engaged. This setup is mainly used by the rock crawler crowd.

yeah , you guys got me there , the rockwell transfer case is actually in a jeep which is being setup for rock crawling, not having much luck finding out a great deal of info about this transfercase , but I am not about to switch it out either , it is working fine as it is, just a little sticky trying to get the thing into 2wd.

Try over on Pirate 4x4.com. There is a lot more extreme 4x4ers over there, many with Jeep's. Also, ColoradoK5 has a lot of adverstisers on their site that might have what your looking for. Good luck.
