TH400 4WD question

I'm part way through upgrading my 82 3/4 ton 4x4 from a 350 and a 4spd, to a Gen6 454 and a TH400 and I ran into yet another issue.

While muscling the trany to the back of the engine (do you know how hard it is to hold a TH400 6" off the garage floor with one arm and no jack while threading a bolt into the bellhousing??) yesterday I happened to look down and notice something missing.... namely the cast flexplate/converter cover. = \

I asked about it on a nother car forum and one guy mentioned that there also should be two rods that run from that lower cover up to the motor mounts...

Does anyone have a picture of these creatues?

Also what is the proper name for them so I can start scouring kijiji and various other classified sites?
Or can these be made out of scrap steel?
