Two Questions..(Cab mount + Tailgate)

Alright the first question about the cab is will a 86 cab fit on a 76 frame? A friend of mine asked me and I really don't have any idea because I never have taken off beds or cabs off the frame.....and the second on is on the tailgate of Silverado's (don't know exact years) the brushed aluminum panel that runs across it with "Chevrolet" on the right hand side, where can I get a replacement? I have not been able to find them in LMC truck or a few other sites (maybe I just can't see them in the catalog?) should I scrounge scrap yards or is there a place where I can get a repro or OEM part online?
Thanks

Picture is why I need another one.....I tried bending it back...yeah that doesn't work...

Re: Two Questions..(Cab mount + Tailgate)

yes the cab will fit on the frame make sure you use the mounts from the 76 frame and try our classiieds section or the boneyard for the tailgate band
