Track Width Q.......
I know I have seen this before but maybe not....
Is the front track width different on 63-70 than it is on the 71-72? If so what is the difference? Is the difference in the frame and crossmember or what? I have a 70, am looking to put disc and drop spindles on it and was just trying to get my mind straight on it.... I could string the differences between my 70 and 71 but they are about 700 miles away from me at the moment |

Re: Track Width Q.......
The differences are in the front spindles and the rear axles. Frames, suspension, etc are all the same. Drum spindles don't stick out as far, not needing the same clearance as discs/calipers. They changed the rear axle to match the change in the front.
Hope that helps. I believe in the front and rear, it's 3/4" per side or 1.5" total width difference between the year split.
