Sway bar bracket question...
The PO of my truck removed the sway bar, so I have sourced another one along with new bushings and bushing "U" brackets. The other day I saw a pic here on the forum somewhere that where the front bushings mount to the frame, a little bracket was bolted to the frame and then the bushings were bolted to the bracket...
How importrant is the little bracket? Can I just drill a new hole on each side of the frame and mout the bushing part direct to the frame??? I wish I could find the pic to describe it better.... Last edited by tonypaul; 09-23-2010 at 03:58 PM. Reason: ii |

Re: Sway bar bracket question...
You have three options when mounting a factory sway bar. In stock height applications you should probably source the stock bushing "stands" and bolt everything on. For mildy lowered you can build or buy short stands from Early Classic Enterprises. For fairly low to really low trucks you can bolt the bushing clamps directly to the frame.

Re: Sway bar bracket question...
Thats the bracket I saw! I have airbags on the front, well on the chassis right now. Ride height hasnt been estabished yet, but I will go ahead and mount direct to the frame...
Thanks for the advice!!!!!! |

Re: Sway bar bracket question...
My advice isn't free. It will cost you the price of a pic. Post em if you got em...
