Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)
Hey guys....
i have not been having door issues thus far in my build...i relocated my cab back about two inches over the past weekend and for some reason now, my driver side door sags towards the striker plate. I have to pick up on the handle about 1/2" to get it to align with the strkier plate....any advice...i didn't hit the door when moving the cab and the cab is level....any ideas how to fix this? Thanks again |

Re: Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)
you relocated the cab so you changed to way it sat on frame thus changing the door alignment.

Re: Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)
You have some structural problems if its out of line after the move. Did you physically move the mounts or just set it back ? I would jack up the front pillar and see if it realigns. If it does then fix the area thats weak.

Re: Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)

Re: Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)
I would start by looking at the hinges, look at the pins when you lift up on the rear edge of the door. If they move what so ever then they need to be rebuilt.

Re: Door Alignment Issues (Sagging)
The hinges and pins "jiggle" a little bit but they didn't seem to do it enough to cause the door to sag as much as it does...but i will be checking them out some more....i believe i have a cab height adjustment as well as hinge rebuild might be in order...
