a lowered budget
Hey Guys I have a question on lowering a 66 chevy c10 frame. I have plans to start work on my frame in the winter. My question is this, without cutting the frame and by just using lowering springs back and front. I would like to use at least 18s just how low can I go just by adding springs, Also if any of you have pics pls post them. I was planning on using the original drums 6 lug pattern. and going has low has possible. Thanks Jeff in Indy

You can bag the truck on 18's with just about no issues as long as your backspacing is correct. My pick-up is lowered 5.5'' in front with 275/40/18's and 5.25'' of bs.
I'm running dropped spindles; you didnt mention if you were doing a disc conversion. If springs are the only method, I think 3'' is just about it. Someone on here had 4'' coils but I have not personally seen them listed anywhere. This is a leaf spring truck with a flip kit; not sure the total rear drop.
