Grafting frame horns

I had to replace mine also. Here's what I did.

I just removed the rear two rivet heads on the core support bracket on the inside of the frame. Cut the frame in between the rivets. I left the rear rivet shaft in place. Cut the new frame piece to match. the holes lined up perfect and helped line everything up. Then just welded it all back up. Everything looks square and measures up square, but i have not mounted a bumper cause my truck is in pieces.

I chose this method for two reasons:
1. The rivets would help line up the frame horns.
2. The core support bracket will help brace the frame repair.

little more work but a very solid way to go for sure
