Re: what angle did u cut your z?
I did a 3.5" Z with a 74 degree cut. Moved it forward an inch or so. It's been a while but I remember using poster board to simulate the cut and this was the angle I came up with. Just remember if you use the 74 degree angle and do more/less of a Z it will affect how much it moves the xmember forward.
Here's the best pic I have of where I cut the frame. |

Re: what angle did u cut your z?
I assume you cut the front at the same angle correct? so the rad support is in the right spot?

Re: what angle did u cut your z?
You don't have to. You can cut it vertical & just remove the necessary material to keep the dimensions the same.

Re: what angle did u cut your z?
Does anyone have any pics of how they cut their core support mounts? Does it matter where you cut it at?

Re: what angle did u cut your z?
The cut is specific as you have to be able to drop the radiator w/o interfering w/the steering box.

Added pic of where I cut mine off... Just cut the frame horns off just behind the core support and drop them down. No biggie. You going to lay rockers with or without pinch? Last edited by 68laydout; 10-14-2010 at 01:42 AM. |
