Short bed to Blazer?
Here's the question. Will a Blazer body fit onto a short bed 2WD frame?
Reason I'm asking is I may have the oportunity to pick up a 73 short bed with a real poor body. I know there are numerous Blazers tht are parked due to smog problems here in California. Maybe I can put the two together and have a 2wd Blazer with a smog free chassis? |

Re: Short bed to Blazer?
It would be titled whatever year the body was. It carries the vin.

A lot of things may be different in CA. A vehicle is always registered according to the vin on the body.

Re: Short bed to Blazer?
my truck started out as an 85, cracked frame, ment a frame replacement with a 75 frame and title, using the 85 body and bed, dmv titled it as a 75 because of the frame numbers

Re: Short bed to Blazer?
yes, the 75 vin tag is in the door, and the 85 vin is gone, the PO did the swap, he's a friend of mine, I know it went to the dmv for verification, and they mached the vin to the frame. and the frame numbers were the key to it being titled as a 75.
