Low Hump in a 4x4?
Anyone done it? Is it possible? I'm thinking it might be possible with a body lift but not sure. Anyone have any insight on this for me?

Body lift would definitely sovle the clearance issue.... not sure how much higher the hump is... ORD makes a 1" lift kit out of aluminim. That might be all you would need.

What transmission?I assume automatic.I've converted low-hump to high-hump.I like the ease of access.I never considered what you are,but wonder about the transfer case shifter location and action.

Re: Low Hump in a 4x4?
When I converted my 2WD to 4wd I had to raise the body 1 inch to clear the transmission (turbo 350).

Re: Low Hump in a 4x4?
Well I crawled up under the truck to see what kind of clearance..... I don't know why the previous owner put a high hump in it? It has PLENTY of clearance from everything. He only cut out a small section of the original low hump and then bolted the high hump in. I think it was to clear the floor shifter that's in there. It's the only thing I can even see that would cause interference. It's a turbo-350 and a 205 transfer case. I'm going to a low hump when I do my floor pans.
