Beat up and abused trucks

I looked for a thread of pics like this but couldn't find one. If there is one then feel free to move this. I've got one that is a prime example, my '86 K30.

Put a battery in her, and she will move around under her own power.

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

A good "before" thread. I never took pictures of mine before.
At least you all still have the beds on them.

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

It was a weekend show/DD before I got it. This is the only pic I have of a before. This is when I was doing some work on it and I swapped the doors out.

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

This truck is no longer but I drove it the way it looks in the pics for approx. 5 years. Everything worked even the air, she just finally rotted beyond being able to drive safely.
The bench seat was resting on the gas tanks because there was no floor or rockers.
She drove and hauled the day I yanked the 454 out and started parting her out......

Old pic when she still had some metal on her

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

Oh my pics aren't "before" at all. That is the current state my K30 is in, and it's not likely to improve. I plan on running that truck into the ground.

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

Parts truck I drove home last year. The beat up condition was a bit of a shame as it was fairly rust free for this region. It's scattered around the farm now, in boxes, various buildings and under my 68.

I have fit three in there before if you stack them all piggy back. It is kinda funny to look at I guess, but it gets the job done!

Re: Beat up and abused trucks

My truck looked pretty used and abused when we brought it home. The P.O. was an electrician and there was plenty of evidence that this was his work truck for awhile... crap was everywhere...

I guess I'm a bit biased being from a place where we don't see a lot of rust, but it looks to me like you have almost succeeded!
