disk brake conversion questions
Researching complete kit for front disk conversion. Most all suppliers sell the master cylinder and brake booster seperately from the kit. To those of you that have already completed the conversion what companies do you recommend? Did you purchase new MC and booster from local auto parts store? If so what part #'s did you use?

I went all junk yard. Saved a bunch of money and have a solid brake system.

I used:
1973-87 "Heavy halfton" spindles, for the 1.25 rotor, and matching calipers (junkyard) '73-'87 ball joints (bolted into my '69s control arms) CPP 6 lug rotors (optional, go 5 lug if you can) CPP tie rod ends, and made some assortment to put the '69s drag link and inner tierod to the '73-'87 spindle. '70? MC, but haven't installed it yet. I don't think it cost me over $500. |

Thanks for the replies, yesterday I went ahead and ordered a kit from Performance Online, kit comes with two and a half inch drop spindles, I also ordered four inch lowering springs for rear. Kit does not come with brake booster, master cylinder or proporting valve. My plan is to pick these up at local parts store.

Kit was$ 649, added the 4 inch rear drop coils for another $90 and with shipping came to $870. Nothing has arrived yet, likely next Monday.

I got 71 spendles and 71 ball joints and 71 tie rod ends I'm in the process of finishing it up I also used 71 booster and master cylinder with a proportioning valve from classic parts there's alot of little things that are being a minor pain but nothing horrible the kits will probably be Easier but more expensive... I got all 71 parts but I didn't change my controll arm bushings because they were still good hood luck
