I just bought a 355 engine and it has Straight spark plugs out of the heads and I want to know what type of headers can i use to have clearance for the plug and wires? And a good place to buy them at?

i cant tell you..but get rid of the flex fan

I agree toss the flex fan before it puts a blade through your hood. Pretty much any standard headers that are for your truck will work fine. Straight plug is the normal thing. If you had angled plugs its a bit more difficult.

Ya i am going to go with electric fans instead of that.

But any headers will work? and were is the best deals to get a pair?

Anyone ever bought E bay headers and used them whats the "quality" of them?

Any small block headers designed for correct year C10's..etc should fit fine.

The Ebay headers that are pictured do not appear to have mandrel bent tubes, it appears you spent some money on an engine that you want to perform, so I would use a different set, if it were me.

Stainless would be nice, but unless youre just trying to dress up a low performance motor, Id buy a plain steel painted set from a reputable company first.

Just wondering....what about if you want to put A/C on it? The A/C compressor bolts onto the front of the left header if I'm not mistaken...can you just modify the bracket or something?

I am not a big fan of buying new parts from ebay, because they always seem cheap. I will just get them at summit or jegs or some good site.

I am not going to use the A/C any more. I dont even have the belt on it right now. The compressor does not work to well and the system has no coolant in it.

Dougs d-310c 3/8 flange 1 5/8 tube 3'' collector spendy but fit well and do not hang below rail. got them on my 73

Just came back and noticed your valve covers....those are the ones I have been looking at getting (Edelbrock Elites right?) except I gotta get the stock height instead of tall because of the A/C bracket no doubt

No, not just any header set will work, even the ones that are "supposed" to fit your specific application. I used to have Hedman (if I recall the brand) headers on my K5 that didn't cause any major clearance issues, changing plugs was easy, but when I put some Hookers on my '65 Impala I had to put a dent in one of the tubes to clear a plug, get a smaller oil filter, and use a box-end wrench to install/remove one of the plugs. And they were specific to my application. There are actually spark plug sockets made to change plugs on engines with headers.
