$29 sale on 6-ton Harbor Freight Jack Stands? Opinion?
Just another item on the list. I see in the mail flyer tonight a coupon for $29 for a pair. My 3-tons are shorter and these have that added height I'd like/need at times for the 1-ton. Pondering 2 pair at this price.
Any concerns? Just glad I didn't buy them the other day for $44! Mark

I have a pair and have no issues with them. Used them under my 72 many times. Its sitting on them right now, has been for several months now.

Have a set few years old no issues. They have to meet safety standards. If you think the stuff sold in auto parts stores is any different quality your mistaken.

Thanks, greene, you're right about a good deal for $19 for 6-ton jack stands! Beats Harbor Freight where I thought $29 was a decent price. (already bought a pair)
Here is the Tractor Supply link for anyone looking for a deal on 6-ton jack-stands.: http://www.tractorsupply.com/vehicle...-stand-1161621 These are interesting too...extends to 21". Never seen them before. http://www.tractorsupply.com/vehicle...-stand-1160455 Obviously a holiday motivated sale, but a bargain for anyone looking for the taller stands. Sale ends tomorrow it appears. Mark

I have the 3 ton set and a 12 ton set. Both are great. I bought the 12 tons just for the height. Those 12 T's are a solid chunck of metal! I dropped the C1500 on it. About a 2 inch drop as the spring shifted. I only heard a dull thud. No shaking, no wobbling, just holding like it was made for it.
