Re: Radiator for 54 chevy with ls3?
Welcome from So Arizona home of SB 1070 !!!
What a nice combo. We would like to follow your build with some pics ! I found a guy on the internet in Missouri I think it was Portals Radiator shop that has built me two rads for my 53 and 54 both ZZ-4 and they work great here in the desert with the A/C on. I will look for the receipt and see if I can find his number. They were brass and copper and the price was very good.

Re: Radiator for 54 chevy with ls3?
I just found his card and it is Portell Radiator Shop in DeSoto Mo.
1-888-449-4103 He shipped it to Tucson and it arrived in great shape. His prices were good, and I have just put 30 miles on my maden first trip in my 53 today and it was 100* this afternoon and everything worked great

solidaxel thanks for the info and testimonial. Nice to work with someone other than a shop who pumps rads out in quantity rather than quality.

Re: Radiator for 54 chevy with ls3?
on my LS instl. in my 51, I had a custom build rad. built, (Wizard Cooling out of NY). Down flow, (tank on top & bottom) inlet & outlet both on passenger side to eliminate running the upper hose accross the engine bay. Ran the vent tube (steam port) to the top tank with a nipple in upper tank close to the uppr rad hose inlet so its not noticeable. Then I built a over flow catch can & hid it in the drivers side wheel well.

Re: Radiator for 54 chevy with ls3?
We got ours from PRC radiators. I have some pictures on my build thread. We haven't run it yet but I have no doubt that it will cool just fine. They were great to work with.
