grease electric window mechanism without removing doorpanel

temperatures are down to freesing at the moment en the electric windows of our burb are giving us a hard time. very slow and sometimes not fully opening or closing.

I opened up one doorpanel recently and saw that the mechanism is as dry as a dessert-rats-ass...

Is there a way of greasing this mechanism without having to open the doorpanel, because that is way too cold right now and I have no place to do that inside.

I don't know of any way. Removing the door panel doesn't take very long, as you know, but I understand the problem with cold weather. However, I would not necessarily think that grease alone will solve your problem - could be cold weather affecting the performance of your motor(s).

I was afraid I'd get reactions like this! man, I dont feel like taking off the doorpanel, but think its probably the only way.

probably motorproblems too, but I wanna make sure its greased properly to take that out of the way....

You could always get to it from the outside, an air-chisel will peel that sheetmetal right out of the way.... Ha

No, really the only way is to remove the door panel. Just be sure to use something that can deal with the cold. A synthetic lube that will not turn sticky and stiff when it is freezing would be best. There is no point in going from "dry" to "glued"

had to replace the fuel tank,and it was real cold
threw big tarp,covered ground to ground on sides
hung over the gate ,put heater inside truck pointing at me
and a rope around the belly,boards up the sides
also make sure the window and tracks are lined up straight
well greasin things make sure to do the hinge for the door
with out they sieze/stiffen up,seen them bend

If you can get your hands on some grease rated for artic conditions that would be the was to go. When I lived in Fairbanks, AK that was the type of grease I used, it doesn't harden up under extream cold conditions. Used it on the windows and everywhere else you need to grease, mostly the wheel bearings.

The grease is made by TS Moly called TS-67, it's a good grade to arctic grease.
I don't have a link for them but it shouldn't to hard to find.
