Trying to decide what color to paint my truck...got new torque thrust II's.
Trying to nail down a color to paint my truck before I finally go into the paint shop with the 68'. I got my new wheels out the box and I'm having the tires mounted this week. I am leaning toward silver or gray. But I still want to do a white top and white grill/face. I have even tossed around some oranges and blues....Any ideas or pics? I know someone has to be running this style wheel on the forum.

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
That's a perfect looking wheel... what's the reason for repainting them?
What color is the body of the truck going to be?

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
My fault for the confusion...I'm trying to decide what color to paint my 68' SWB fleetside. I am not changing the wheels at all, I love the old school look with the modern hoop size...

You could put those on a primer truck and it would look great, so it comes down to personal preference. With the white top and grill I like the red 68's and the gold 68's.

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
I've got the gray centered Coys and was planning on satin black for my truck.
Then I saw a suede/satin, light blue '68, with a white top and white grill and I fell in love. The truck is a board members and if i can a picture I'll post it. I love the silver/gray idea as well, but not sure about it with the white top and grille? |

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
Personally... I would look at the stock colors which were available in '68; there's a few in there that would sick!

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
I am really excited now! I got my wheels and tires mounted today! I will be test driving friday and saturday! Just need to finish buttoning up the panels and bodywork and she is ready to be shot. Gonna have to nail down the color and stick to it! Hopefully it will stay dry this weekend so I can see what my 502 has in store for me!!!!!

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
Thanks! I originally had those wheels on order for mine, but after waiting over 3 months to get them (back a couple years ago), Dave at Newstalgia set me up with some billets for the same price. My 68 will get some type of cast wheel.
Looks like yours are 20's and 18's?....love the look!

Re: Trying to decide what color to go with my Torqs?
I wanted the gray spoked wheels on my truck VERY bad. They would blend so well with my color and theme. My wife likes "shiny" wheels, so she kinda won that one. My color is PPG Atlantic Blue Pearl.
My engine and interior incorporate alot of gray which would've made the gray wheels a perfect choice. ![]() ![]() ![]()
