Re: need traction

my truck has a flip kit too and i was thinking bout the older style traction bars.the kind that look like a piece tubing and a snubber could be made to work since the rearend isnt in the way anymore.

Re: need traction

all traction bars work the same.they use axle wrap to plant the tires/lift the vehicle.caltracs are just adjustable.

Re: need traction

Caltrac will help, but you need to be planting both tires.
I sell the caltracs because they work. you can get flipped or non-flipped.

Re: need traction

Those in summit are a waste of money, they aren't long enough to work correctly.

Re: need traction

thats what i was refferin to.just need to make sure theyll work.they need to be long enough.the snubber needs to contact the spring eye.make sure you have enough room as to not have them below the edge of your rim.and make sure their wide enough for your springs.they have them for stock trucks but flipped they hang to low.

Re: need traction

In this order..

Posi
Drag radials
Caltracs
Different front springs (Long with a very light spring rate to store energy)
Adjustable front shock
Adjustable rear shock
Possibly a different rear leaf

The 2000 Silverado my brother owns that had a stock 6.0L/4L60E,remote STS Turbo, 10bolt with 3.42 and Eaton posi and caltracs is running 1.65 60ft times on ET drag slicks. caltracs controls axle hop and gets it out of the hole better. Popped the motor before he started adjusting it.
It was dyno'd at 600hp/798tq at the tire.

edit: figured I would add that when he started he was running 1.98 60ft times and he is lowered also

x2 on what Super73 stated.

Re: need traction

Launching like the pic of my truck requires starting to buy the parts on the list I provided.
