Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
I've read that these are ok, the opportunities for improvement are the lighting, seals, and viewing window gets dull quick. Once you address those it should be good to go.

Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
I have one that is very similar that came from Horror Freight. I bought a tube of clear silicone and used liberally on all the joints and changed out the pickup tube with one from TP Tools and it works like a champ.
The real secret to making one of these work well is keeping the media DRY. REAL DRY. |

Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
I have one from HF, used it once, its a fairly decent cabinet for the money, and with just a few improvements it could be even better. Go look thru some car magazines, like hot rod, car craft, or classic truck, or like mags. most have 20% off coupons for HF, so that'll save you 40 bucks. 160 bucks sounds even better.

Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
Have one... works great for me! Just makes sure you clean the majority of the oil/grease off the parts you are blasting. Your gloves will just put it right back on there if it's not somewhat clean...

Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
Thats how i usually do it, I'll wait until an item I want comes on sale, then I usually have a car mag setting around, cut out the coupon, Then go get it.

Re: Sand Blast Cabinet
I have one of those cabinets. I love it. Be sure to seal it up before you use it and after you wear the gun out get one from TP Tools.
