Re: Dash covers?
I installed an Accuform dash cap for about $100 on my 83. It was manufactured too small for the dash and was very difficult to install and also developed a small crack near the driver's side vent hole and also fractured around the A/C vent openings and corners. It also prevents the dash pad from seating properly and squeaks when I drive it. It is one step up from a piece of carpet dash pad - looks OK from a distance but not worth the $$$. I would look for a recover like stitch offers on this site if I were to do it over again, unless you find a mint used dash pad cheap.

Re: Dash covers?
Had a guy try to give me a new in the box one once, and I refused to take it. he ended up putting it in a truck later and it looked terrible, the fitment was not right.

Re: Dash covers?
I did it, bought it from brotherstrucks and i got it scratched, cracked and they wouldnt even give me a straight answer about it, still got it on but it was a drag and i left a bubble on top of the gauge cluster.
But id say its the only cheap way to bring back to life an old dash just doind the right way and carefully, i noticed that youll need a firm platform to place the dash then something heavy to put on top so it sticks fairly |

Re: Dash covers?
Why not just buy a new pad? $189 at Truckandcarshop.com or Classic industries.
