IFS question
Does anyone know if the ifs crossmember kits will work with a 55-57 1 ton frame? It seems the frame is taller in the rear where the flat deck was but tapers smaller under the cab and towards the front. I would like to use it if possible but am not sure about the compatability of the kit to the frame. Can some one measure the height and the width of the frame where the ifs would weld in so I can see if it is possible to do this??

Re: IFS question
If you buy one that is designed to fit that model of frame. You might have to do a bit of trimming to make things work right but that is pretty normal. If you want to go first boat on it Scott on here will probably build you one set up just the way you want it and it will be hub to hub. On the other end of the spectrum is the Welders series weld it up yourself crossmember that you do have to trim to fit and do a bit of work getting it all fitted up but the price is really friendly and it is made by one of your fellow Canadians at http://www.welderseries.com/blog/ Check his videos on assembling and installing the crossmember.
