Th-350 shifting

Hey I got a TH-350 with a B&M shift kit 2K stall it shifts real early from 1st to 2nd like around 1200RPM'S then it seems to hold in 2nd for a long time before it hit's second. This happens when I mash the gas ,it performs good when driving normal except it still shifts to early this has done it since I first got the trans.I have allso tried to adjust the vacum modulator but seems there is no improvement or change new modulator was installed and still no effect. Now I have turned the screw like a bazillon times each way in/out.How can I find out where this needs to be so I can start from scratch? What is causing the shifting problem? Thanks for the info

Re: Th-350 shifting

HHMMM NO it's in my 69 C-10 I don't think it has been rebuilt, the trans works great on a basic drive to the store and back or highway cruise except that it shifts to soon 1 to 2nd.But when I get on it it hangs in second to long before going into third.I was wondering if it could be the governor

Re: Th-350 shifting

The modulator is only 1/2 of it. Adjust the kick down cable (check any chiltons for the proper adjustment) and if it still does an early 1-2,, then it's time to dig into the governor like mentioned

I just did my taxes and reviewed my SS statement. Thanks to the current administration it looks like I will only have to work till noon on the day of my funeral.
