Brake Calipers - New or used
Found an 85' Diesel Burb in the junkyard with some nice brake calipers. Look to be for 1 1/4" rotors but, I did no have my tape measure to measure them when I was getting the sway bat components. Would it be better to buy calipers @ an auto parts store (remanufactured ones) or pick up the junkyard set for about $ 13 a piece???

Rebuilt ones at the parts store are about 20 each.

Yes. I had assumed since he has a truck already he would take his old ones off and turn them in for core.

Maybe its just me, but while travelling at highway speeds i think id rather have the piece of mind of knowing my brakes ( that i hope will stop me from getting killed )have new parts instead of parts picked in a place where a truck rests before its shredded and recycled.. i mean is $14 difference for a pair really that much money to worry about

You can buy rebuild kits and do them yourself if you like.
