Help wiring blues(fuse box)
I had a little mishap with my fuse box(little fire) its on my 86 my fuse box uses the littl fuses and i want to know can i use the wiring and fuse box out of a 77 to replace it with?the 77 has the tube fuses .both are without air the 77 was a v8 my 86 is a v6 but im not sure if it makes a diff.
P.S never ever under any circumstances use a jumper wire for a fuse when one blows.I feel like a real dumb a## right now when them wires start melting they sure go fast dont they?

i believe its a different setup for the 76 to the 86 different locations and wiring different accessories. go to a pick and pull yard and get a harness or ya can get them fromthe usual catalog places

Another thing to consider is if your '86 has power window's and lock's alot of truck's from the 70's didn't have pwr. w/l and there would be no place on that block for them.
Like everyone has said go to the j/y and look for a truck from the 80's that has as many of the same options as yours does. Look at your old one and if you can still read what each fuse is for get one that has the fuese's labeled the same if possible. |

Not to mention any ECM or ESC hook-ups. You'll have better luck getting one from the junk yard.
