woohoo! got my new welder working!
well since i bought my welder without the ground cable and welding gun i had to piece it together. i got the gun and ground off ebay and they work fabulous. the gun is the htp replacement for the magnum 100l replacement and its awesome. so today i ran out and got myself a hood and a spool of fluxcore wire since i don't have the space for a gas bottle, and once i got it all hooked up and installed i couldn't resist. i just had to weld something so i took some old rocker arms that i had lyin around and made a star and a person. i was like a kid at christmas. anyway here's a photo of what i made. and i feel really good about the welds, considering i have been out of practice for a while

Re: woohoo! got my new welder working!
I've got the same welder, you'll find you get better penetration with the cored wire. Duty cycle leaves a little to be desired though, but for light work it is a good welder.
