Automatic questions

I removed the engine last night in my truck to "z" the frame. I want to get rid of the 3 speed for a t350 trans. Just looking for some information from some of you who have converted your truck to an automotic already. Also any ideas on hood lift hinges, since i am "z"ing the frame I am taking the inner fender wells out, so the factory hing will be removed, kinda like the tilt hoods I have seen on here. Just looking for some advice on both trans and hood.

Re: Automatic questions

I would go with a 700r4, it has a .75 final drive 25% OD this means it will cruise down the road at lower rpms.........a lot depends on what rear tire and wheel size you decide to use. Kieth

I have a 350 tbi, 700r4 and 3:73 rear axle ratiors with a 29" wheel diameter (265/70/17")
or 235/70/15 both are the same diameter.....

Re: Automatic questions

I am doing the same swap(3 speed to th350) but am riding stock height. What are some problems I need to keep an eye out for?
Also, what about a steering column? Cheap($$) is better.
