K5 Seats

Has anyone installed buckets seats out of late 80's K5? I have found a deal on a complete set and was wondering how they fit. I can not find the correct ones around where I live. It has 70's style in it now what it looks like correct seat frames. The pics are what is in it now.

Re: K5 Seats

So those pics are of your blazer and what's currently in it??

I have 80s blazer seats in mine...front buckets and rear bench and all seem to fit fine. I haven't taken the front carpet up yet to see if the holes match up though. I will be next weekend though and could let you know then. Somebody else may have done this swap and know off hand, mine was like this when I got it.

Re: K5 Seats

When I bought my Blazer the passenger seat in it was from a 73-up Blazer. It hit the windshield when it was tilted forward.

Re: K5 Seats

I believe the Blazer seats from 1973 till 1976 are virtually the same as the first generation seats. The tracks are different, but the seats are the same. I think the high back buckets started in about 1977.

When I got my 72 it had high back buckets from a 73+ (maybe 77+ like jlmerie mentioned) and I second the hitting of the windshield when the passenger is tilted forward. The PO had bolted the original 72 brackets to the bottom of the 73+ seats, I don't recall the seat frames being drilled out or anything, maybe it all bolted right up???
