Power Steering/ Brake Help
I,m looking at upgrading my standard steering and manual drum brakes to power. any suggestions. where can i get parts. would a local jobber have them or a wrecker?
I dont want to go into expense of disc brakes as I want to keep the 6 bolt wheels I have. Please help. |

Re: Power Steering/ Brake Help
I'd get them off a doner truck either at the wrecking yard or from someone parting one out.
The booster/master cylinder shouldn't be hard to find but I'd want to change the master cylinder for a new one. You should be able to find the power box, pump and proper brackets for the pump off a doner truck too. I think I would want to put new hoses on it along with a new belt. You need to get the pump brackets for the particular engine you have and what water pump (short or long) makes a difference too. |
