k5 emblems in truck fender holes?

I'm using truck fenders that have two sets of holes in them. My 70 K5 only had the K5 emblems. They have the same distance between the holes as the truck fender's top set of holes. Can I use either the "4 wheel drive" or the "8 350" emblems under the K5 emblems in the stock holes? Seems like it should work but I don't have any emblems here to check clearance. Need to know whether to start welding up holes. Frank

The blazer emblem has 3 studs, so you would have to drill the center hole. In 69-70, i believe the 350 emblem may have been under the blazer emblem. The 4 wheel drive emblem was under the front marker light from 68-70. (trucks and blazers) Then the engine badge moved up there.

Re: k5 emblems in truck fender holes?

Interesting...I thought my blazer fender was original and it only had two holes in it. I'm not worried about originality on the emblems. I just don't want to have to weld the holes up if I don't have to. It's already in primer and ready for paint.
