Re: No freakin' way!

Looks like the previous owner needed to kick up the idle a little.

Good score!

I don't think it's the real deal & the guy just took your money. Just because I hate to see people getting taken advantage of, I'll give you your $30 back & will dispose of that 'properly'.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Yummy, "savory cheese biscuits". Sorry, haven't had dinner yet. Cool find in the parts yard.

Re: No freakin' way!

I too scored last week. Asked at the desk of the yard and owner said the tach setups have been long gone and he hadn't seen one in a long time. Same yard ran across one in a 1973 and he sold it to me for $50! Alt. guage says amps instead of volts which may be a problem for my 1977 but I'm sure I could swap it out for the volts gauge from my orig.

Yep. Swapping the ampmeter to a later voltmeter is a simple swap on these clusters. I wish the other years were this easy (6x-66's & 67-72's).

Re: No freakin' way!

I'm finally home and put the tach dash in. Everything works nice and proper except for the lights and high beam indicator (havent checked the turn signal indicator lights). What the most probable issue? Fuse? I havent checked the fuse block because I got extremely frustrated just a few minutes before after spending an hour digging the wing nut that holds the air cleaner out of the carburetor
