Re: Which new battery to put in truck
The only battery I've ever had that I thought died TOO soon was a GM battery that was in the car new.

Re: Which new battery to put in truck
On all of my older vehicles, I use dual terminal (top and side post) batteries with at least 1000 CCA. I run one ground terminal from the battery to the engine block and the other ground terminal to the frame, and then run both positive terminals via separate wires to the starter. Do this using large gauge cables and I promise you will never have starting problems for the full life of the battery. I did this on a high compression big block which was giving me slow cranking problems and now it spins over like a low compression V6. The easier the path for the electricity to flow the better things work and the longer they last.
